Do I qualify for a free NHS eye test?
You may qualify for a free NHS eye test at home if you are unable to visit an optician unaccompanied due to physical or mental disability and are any of the following:
All residents of Scotland are entitled to a free NHS eye test, and those who cannot leave their home unaccompanied due to physical disability or mental illness can have their test provided at their normal place of residence.
Housebound patients can have their test at their place of residence — fully funded by NHS Scotland.
You or your family member may be entitled to full or partial help towards the cost of glasses through the NHS Low Income Scheme.
